Welcome to the team: Suzi Hough. HarperCollins

HARPERCOLLINS NEW SALES REP: SUZI HOUGH

Suzi Hough has joined the Field Team as the Sales Rep for the CALIBA region. Suzi is based in Northern California in San Jose. Start date: September 3rd.

Suzi was a bookseller at Hicklebee’s Bookstore for four years in San Jose where she was the store manager and events and marketing manager. Most recently she worked as a commission sales rep for the Imprint Group providing trade sales and marketing representation to thirty-five publishers/vendors, including Barefoot Books, Baker & Taylor Publishing Services, Candlewick Press, Capstone Press, HCCP, Quarto, Sourcebooks, Union Square, and Wiley. Suzi comes highly recommended from our outgoing rep Jim Hankey – as well as many of the stores she has already developed strong relationships with. We are thrilled to have her join the Harper team!!

OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK WITH BINC

If you have ever wanted to support Binc through your expertise, there are opportunities for you!

BincTank (people of color are especially encouraged to join the BincTank committee and volunteer as mentors)

  • Join the volunteer BincTank committee. The meetings are virtual, no previous board or committee experience is needed, the commitment averages only 4-5 meetings per year of 60-90 minutes each, and the people are great. Experience in any of these areas is a plus but not required: bookstores, DEI, publishing, or authoring books, graphic novels, or comic books. Reach out to info@bincfoundation.org if you or someone you know would be a good addition to the committee.
  • Join the mentor pool. If selected, this is a one-on-one match with an entrepreneur for a longer-term relationship that provides guidance and support and serves as a source of motivation and inspiration. Mentors and mentees are matched based on need and skill sets. A stipend will be offered. Contact Ken White.

Become a subject matter expert. An SME is an expert in a specific area or subject and is consulted to help solve a particular problem. Experience in the areas of operations and inventory are especially needed. A stipend will be offered. Contact Ken White.
