EAST BAY BOOKSELLERS OPENING TEMPORARY LOCATION

East Bay Booksellers in Oakland will reopen by November 30 in a temporary space at 6022 College Ave., just a few blocks away from its previous location in Rockridge. Find out more.

EXTENDED: APPLY FOR SECOND BINCTANK COHORT BY MONDAY, NOV. 10TH

The Book Industry Charitable (Binc) Foundation will accept applications for the second cohort of BincTank, its business incubator pilot program to support BIPOC-owned retail bookselling businesses that are physically located in their community, Oct. 13-Nov. 10, 2024. The application will be available at https://www.bincfoundation.org/binctank/.

Independent Booksellers receive a $500 bonus this holiday

DON'T FORGET TO NOMINATE A BOOKSELLER! JAMES PATTERSON HOLIDAY PROGRAM

Patterson has pledged a personal contribution of $300,000, to be distributed in amounts of $500, to 600 booksellers from ABA member bookstores.

Booksellers can self-nominate to be considered for a bonus, or they can be nominated by bookstore customers, owners, employees, managers, fellow booksellers, publishing professionals, or authors. Past recipients of James Patterson bonuses and grants are eligible for another bonus.

Deadline: November 8

Nominate a bookseller!
